Founded in Kaneohe Hawaii in 2006, Hawaii Ornamental Aquaseed (HOAS) collects planktonic Hawaiian post-larval reef species and grows them to adulthood in aquariums and tanks. The company uses the environmentally superior fish capture and care methods recomended by the Marine Aquarium Council.
Since these fish have never lived on the reef, they are superior to wild caught adults in terms of their health, contentment and feeding preferences. As such these reef animals are very suitable for reef-friendly eco-conscious marine aquariums. HOAS supplies the ornamental marine aquarium trade with high quality, tank-raised fish and also alimited number of invertebrates.
